Another non-update. *Updated* (haha)

My 4 stalkers...I mean, followers...are, I'm sure, waiting with baited breath for this update. Here's the news:

Still no contract. We countered on Thursday morning (I posted that). They came back yesterday at about 2pm. Not budging on the termite inspection, and insisting on closing on 2/23. I *thought* I had said ok on the termite inspection. Either DH didn't get that, or he failed to mention it to the real estate agent...because it was back in. But whatever. We said ok this time. I made sure of it. I think. I only somewhat understand real estate speak.

We *did*...for SOME reason...ask for closing on 2/25. What difference does 2 days make? I don't know, unless our mortgage person can't get done by then. So...we are still waiting. I think they got the offer before closing on Friday (I signed it by 3:30...sent to Mike to sign and send to agent). Hopefully, we should hear back again on Monday. Probably at 4pm. That seems to be the pattern here.

*Update*- We got an email from our agent tonight. Evidently, we aren't arguing over 2 days. They apparently wanted 2/25 for closing. This is what happens when I get things 3rd hand. So we basically accepted their terms. Which means, we are expecting a full contract on Monday. Oh. My. God! Yay!!! I was starting to lose hope and had actually been looking at other houses just in case this fell apart. But the agent sent us a "closing checklist" of sorts...a list of things we still need to get together between now and then (3 weeks. Oh. My. God!). We still have some questions, but things are falling into place. We are about to be home owners.
